National Children's Alliance Leadership Conference Washington, DC, May 31- June 3, 2009
Massachusetts was well represented at this year’s NCA Annual Leadership Conference (click here for a copy of this year’s schedule of events). Tom King, MACA’s Executive Director, along with Janet Fine, Chair of the Board of Directors, attended with Michelle Loranger-Cruise, Executive Director for the CAC of Bristol County, Harry Sloate, Program Coordinator from the Worcester CAC, Sharon Chapman, Program Coordinator from the CAC of Essex County and Pat Snyder Mathews, Project Manager from the Essex County Child Abuse Project.

In addition to attending valuable workshops of program development and expanding services, the group from Massachusetts made legislative visits with staff from the offices of Senator Kerry, Senator Kennedy, Representative Capuano, Representative Tierney and Representative McGovern.  We were able to speak not only about the work of NCA and the national agenda, but also about the great work of MACA and the CACs in their local communities.
