MACA hires new Program Coordinator Gina Amodio.

We are pleased to announce that Gina Amodio has joined the Massachusetts Children’s Alliance (MACA) as our new Program Coordinator. Gina holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Education from Mount Holyoke College. She comes to MACA with professional experience in both education and human services.

Most recently, Gina worked with the YWCA in New Britain, Connecticut where she was a Toddler Teacher and a Volunteer Counselor/Advocate. While at the YWCA, she contributed to the development of the Child Care Center and facilitated the successful accreditation of her program with the National Association for Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Gina also completed a 40 hour crisis intervention training program and counseled primary and secondary survivors of sexual violence.  In addition to her new position with MACA, Gina volunteers at the Cambridge Women’s Center.

As Program Coordinator, Gina will provide technical assistance to the Children’s Advocacy Centers throughout the Commonwealth and serve as a liaison between MACA and its private and public partnerships. In addition to identifying and assisting with training needs on the local level, Gina will be available to help CAC’s meet accreditation goals, assist with the grant funding procurement process, and secure programmatic resource opportunities. Her enthusiasm, experience and energy will be a tremendous asset to MACA.

We are very excited to have Gina join the MACA staff. She can be reached by phone at (617) 573-9800 or by e-mail at gamodio@machildrensalliance.org
